Where Our Project Is Headed |
Our goal is develop a major tourist destination attraction located in Kingman, Arizona. Kingman is blessed with excellent highways including the major east-west Interstate 40, Historic Route 66, and U.S. 93 which provides a fast north south 4 lane divided highway connection across Mohave County for 148 miles, connecting Phoenix to Las Vegas. The proposed site is pointed to by the red indicator shown on the map below. |
|
Our project will include the largest in the USA indoor model train layouts in G, 027, HO, and N scales, a revolving restaurant that lets the patrons enjoy the beautiful country we live in, a banquet facility to serve our community and area, gift shopping, and the opportunity to view at no charge the many varieties of cactus that are a special part of Arizona. In addition to providing a fun experience for those who visit us, we feel it can have a huge impact on our local economy with various employment opportunities and the sales tax revenues. |
Who We Are |
|

Lary is an internet webmaster with 1,000's of promotional pages on the internet (yes, he will use them to promote our project) who still has his boyhood train setting on his desk. Henry is a CPA with extensive experience in non-profit organizations. All of us have a strong sense of community and are wanting to make the city an even better place to visit and live. |

Kingman is a great place for train photography. Trains and Kingman go hand in hand. The first train pulled into Kingman, March 28, 1883. Kingman was named after Lewis Kingman, the locating engineer for the railroad, the man responsible for selecting the location of the roadbed. The town got its start as a small railroad camp for the Atlantic & Pacific Railroad. Surveyor Lewis Kingman named the spot for himself. Pictured above is the Kingman railroad station.
Ride the real thing. AMTRAK stops in Kingman as it travels between Chicago and Los Angles serving places like Chicago, Kansas City, MO, La Junta, Albuquerque, Flagstaff, Kingman and Los Angeles. Train service is available on the Southwest Chief which stops in Kingman. Local taxi and other ride services meet the train and you can also call ahead and make a reservation for ride services. |
